About Me

In my late teens I married Tommy, my high school sweetheart. I am now a mom to three amazing children, a puppy named Archie, and my quirky dog Sparky. I worked as a nurse for several years prior to beginning a family, and later opened an online custom hair bow business called Simply Sassy Shoppe. I’ve retired from the hair bow business in an effort to better focus on our family, and am now homeschooling 1 of my 3 children.

 In the fall of 2009, my oldest, now 17 year old son, was diagnosed with an incurable kidney disease called FSGS. After several difficult years and prayer from many people, his health has steadily improved. We are claiming victory in the name of our Father God, over this disease. He continues to be home schooled while focusing his extra time playing the electric guitar on an early morning worship set at the Upper Room.

At the request of several friends and family, I wrote a book based on the blog posts written during the first year following Andrew's diagnosis. The book is called, Through My Window Pain, and can be accessed through amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com. It is available in paperback or Kindle Version.

I give my Lord Jesus the glory for what and who I am today and am ever grateful for His gift of life. He is the reason that I am able to lead a joyful productive life! Kerrie
